Psychological Testing
Psychological testing assesses an individual's personality, intelligence, and mental health. It clarifies an individual's areas of greatest strength or weakness and may be used to evaluate suitability for critical positions within an organization.
Child Custody Evaluations
When divorcing parents are unable to reach an agreement regarding custody of the child or children, the court may request an evaluation by a trained psychologist in order to obtain a professional recommendation from a neutral party.
Disability Evaluations
Psychiatric examinations help to determine if an employee's mental health status is truly disabling, and whether the person is capable of assuming work responsibilities.
Independent Medical Evaluations
IME's are psychiatric evaluations concerning a person's mental status. These evaluations may be used for such purposes as determining fitness for work, determining competency to manage one's affairs, or determining ability to participate in legal proceedings.
Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) Counseling
These services meet the federal regulations regarding employees with a commercial driver's license who fail a required drug and alcohol test. The counseling includes assessment, treatment recommendations, followup for treatment compliance, and evaluation of ability to return to work.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a new treatment recently approved by the FDA for patients suffering from depression who have not achieved satisfactory improvement from prior antidepressant treatment. This non-invasive, non-systemic treatment is typically performed in a psychiatrist's office five time per week for four to six weeks. Treatment is not generally paid for by health insurance.
